Western – Mental Health First Aid

After six hours of online self-paced work and group discussion webinars, participants will receive a three-year national certification as Mental Health First Aider.  Mental Health First Aid course focuses on recognizing the patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and appearance that show there might be a challenge rather than on a specific disorder. You will learn an action plan to apply to non-crisis and crisis scenarios. Mental Health First Aid is the help given to someone developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. This course is an empirically backed public education and prevention tool that improves knowledge of mental health problems and connects people to appropriate services and care.
