Part 1 – Caring for Patients with Diabetes, High Cholesterol, and Hypertension (4 Hours)
Part 2 – Caring for Patients with Asthma and COPD (4 Hours)

SUMMARY: These workshops review the disease process, its impact on the body systems, common medical interventions, signs and symptoms, and watch and report. Trainees will understand coping mechanisms for chronic illnesses and how to encourage patients to adopt healthy behaviors.

TARGET AUDIENCE: CNA and HHA direct care workers in nursing facilities and home care

  • No. Please be prepared to bring a lunch or visit a local restaurant.
