Privilege of Social Distance

While social distancing measures are deemed necessary in reducing transmission of COVID19, the privilege of distancing is not afforded to all populations equally. Minority
communities, in particular, have been devastated by COVID-19 due to inequities in
healthcare access, testing, and community mobilization. This workshop will highlight
conversations about privilege, power, race, and poverty in the American context that directly
or indirectly relate to the privilege of social distancing and how this may contribute to the
underlying health conditions of their clients.
