OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS (OTS)
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS (OTs) treat patients with illnesses, injuries or disabilities through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. OTs help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and functioning. Therapists show patients how to use appropriate, adaptive equipment to function independently. OTs work in the offices of physical and speech therapists, nursing homes, home health services and hospitals. A master’s degree is required to work as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
