Nursing Preceptorship Program (LPN & RN)

Nursing Preceptorship Programs are a transition to practice models that help to bridge the gap between the classroom and the bedside. The program provides new nurses (LPNs and/or Associate Degree RNs) with the support needed as they transition to their new roles in long term care facilities. Preceptors may be internal or external to the homes and work with 3-5 new nurses during a 4-6 week training period to create a customized curriculum based on the needs of the nurse and employer. LPN preceptorship may also be a Registered Apprenticeship model, to be discussed by labor and management.
