This course will cover the basics of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and Medicare. Participants will learn how they can help patients become “educated insurance consumers.” Topics include the difference between a referral and an authorization, and how the healthcare staff can help uninsured patients to navigate the healthcare system.
