How Trauma Impacts Behavior
This training sensitizes direct care workers better to understand how individuals’ experience and backgrounds can affect their mental and physical health, with focus on singular or repeated events in individuals’ lives. Trainees will acquire skills to focus on these experiences, respect them, and adapt care accordingly. This training may have relevance for skilled nursing facilities subject to developing.
