Family caregivers are related to patients by birth, marriage or commitment, and they take on the responsibility of providing various kinds of assistance to the patient. This course will help participants learn to identify a patient’s family caregivers. Topics include potential benefits of family engagement, strategies to increase family involvement and principle of effective communication with families.
