Alzheimer’s / Dementia Care for Nursing Home Workers- Part 2
In this course, participants will explore ways to improve Dementia care through communication and support. This training includes therapeutic communication strategies and key words to use to mitigate negative behavior. Varying treatment modalities (art, music dance), the effect if Sundowing, managing paranoia and late day confusions, assisting the wandering patient, recognizing signs, coping mechanisms and treatment options will be included. Participants will also learn about how to deal with burnout.
